Wow, I'm bad at this. I thought I'd blog about once a week. Or month, you know.

Easter has come to the Snug Bungalow. I realize now that I have slightly offensive taste. Hot pink, bright yellow. None of those beloved Easter pastels for me! It's *in your face* Easter around here. Our Easter punches you in the eye and has no regrets. But god, I love it. I love hot pink. Ever since it was a Crayola crayon. Which, by the way, is why I call it hot pink and not fluorescent pink.

Little box of chicks? Check! Two or more hot pink duck pond ducks? Check! Giant hot pink egg on a jadeite cake plate? Check! Which brings me to another point - as my friend LuLu aptly put it, "Is there anyone who looks at a hot pink egg on a jadeite cake plate and doesn't think it's beautiful?" I really hope not. Or at least, I hope I never meet them. What must they be like? (I'm picturing Lurky and Murky from Rainbow Brite.)

When LuLu was here we hit the Christmas Tree Shop and also a thrift store. She bought a beautiful (large) spring purse for $3.98. I scored a pair of hot pink (yes!) slippers to keep at my friend HB's house (she has all wood floors) and a vintage Strawberry Shortcake Garden House. I have apparently started collecting SSC somewhere along the way. Can't be helped. Also, I got a pair of leather knee high boots for $3.98. Actual leather. To know me is to know that I like a good pair of boots. Not generally the girly kind of boots. I like a nice clomping boot. These boots are the most feminine I own, but I am still excited to wear them. Soon, I hope. I am both very excited about this find and a little pissed. I spent at least a month looking for these exact boots last year. I needed them to go with my Baroness outfit. They were nowhere to be found.

It has gotten dark and rainy again. I lust after spring.
